Asian 5-Spice Braised Chicken

  • 1 bottle (355mL) VH® Asian 5 Spice Stir-Fry Sauce
  • 2/3 cup (160mL) chicken stock
  • ¼ cup (60mL) VH® Soya Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp (15mL) finely chopped ginger
  • 2 lbs (1Kg) boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1" (2.5cm) pieces
  • 4 cups (1 L) steamed rice
  • Finely chopped green onions

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

  2. Turn down to a simmer and add chicken breasts, cover and cook 20 minutes over low heat until chicken is tender.

  3. Warm a platter and top with steamed rice , top with chicken and sauce and garnish with green onions.
